Learning how Forgiveness can bring Inner Peace
I did not realize how important learning forgiveness is to healing after loss and trauma. It has become clear to me that forgiveness is not just about others, but also about myself.

Today, I've been reflecting on the profound changes we experience in our lives and within ourselves following the traumatic loss of a loved one. This significant event often reshapes our perspectives, priorities, and even our fundamental understanding of the world.

I wish I would have paid more attention. I feel I missed so many signs, or perhaps I saw them and was told not to worry about it when every fiber of my being was telling me that something was wrong in my son’s life (the last 2 years of it).

Sometimes life gets too much, but we have to continue moving forward. There are moments when I have wanted to run very far away, only to discover that my emotions, thoughts, feelings need to be addressed head on, and avoiding them just does not work.

The Worth Over Worry Project emerged from a deeply personal struggle after I lost my two sons Joey and Kyle to suicide and drug overdose. These have been some of the darkest days of my life, filled with grief and heartache. It is in these challenging moments that I realized the importance of having safe places to share our experiences and talk openly about our feelings, empathy over judgement.
This site is dedicated to creating a supportive community where anyone affected by loss can find solace, understanding, and most importantly, a voice. We believe that through sharing our stories, we can find healing together and help others navigate their own journeys. Remember, you are not alone. We are here to listen, support, and encourage you towards a brighter tomorrow

I just wanted to take a moment to share a thought for the week. It’s a gentle reminder that we should always tell the people in our lives how much they are cherished and loved, even on the hard days. Life can be tough, and there are times when we may forget to express our feelings.
Remember, tomorrow is not promised, and we cannot change the past. What truly matters is being present—showing appreciation and love in the here and now. So, reach out to your loved ones, let them know they are valued, and make the most of every moment together.
Regrets are not easy to live with. They can morph into deeper feelings like guilt and shame, making us question our worth.
It's common to feel inadequate at times, leading to a constant yearning to turn back the clock and make different choices. We all have moments we wish we could change, but dwelling on these regrets can hold us back.
Instead of letting these feelings consume us, it's essential to acknowledge our regrets, learn from them, and focus on the present and future. Embracing our past mistakes as part of our journey can help us grow and move forward with a healthier mindset.
Above is a glimpse of my late sons, my oldest Joey FE31 and my youngest Kyle FE28, serving as a poignant reminder that life is incredibly short and my reasons for starting Hope Over Silence
Each moment we share with our loved ones is precious, and it is vital to cherish these fleeting experiences. I cannot stress enough the importance of helping each other and showing kindness in our daily interactions. In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, acts of compassion can make all the difference.
Let us take a moment to appreciate those around us, lend a helping hand, and spread kindness wherever we go. Remember, the time we have is limited, so let's make it count by embracing every opportunity to connect and support one another.
